Samode Haveli Jaipur
- Jorawar Singh Gate, Gangapole Road Near, Gangapole, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302002
Samode Haveli is a heritage hotel in the walled city of Jaipur, in a mansion that Samode describes as the family residence for about 225 years. It has 50 rooms and suites around courtyards, a pool and gardens, roughly 17 km from the airport. It is marketed for stays rather than weddings, so large-scale events are by enquiry.
ABOUT THE SAMODE HAVELI JAIPUR
A 225-Year-Old Heritage Hotel
Samode Haveli sits just inside the old city walls on Gangapole Road, a short drive from the City Palace and Hawa Mahal, with Amber Fort about 15 minutes away according to the hotel. The property is a nobleman’s mansion in Indo-Saracenic style, still associated with the Samode family. Guests enter by a long elephant ramp, which a travel operator notes was built in the 1940s for a royal family wedding procession, a small detail that suits a celebratory stay.
Inside, the character is hand-painted murals, frescoed lounges, a Sheesh Mahal suite with mirror work, courtyards with bougainvillea, a terrace for sundowners and a large Moorish-style pool with domed daybed pavilions. The hotel has been recognised by publications such as Condé Nast Traveller and Tatler, and it runs complimentary guided walks of the old city.
The wedding question needs honesty. Unlike Samode Palace or the resorts on the city’s outskirts, the Haveli is a compact, centrally located leisure hotel in a dense old-city setting, and Samode does not publish event spaces or wedding capacities for it. That makes it a good fit for a small, high-character gathering (a welcome dinner, mehendi, a family function or an intimate ceremony for a modest guest list) and a poor fit for a large baraat-style wedding, where the narrow lanes, limited space and room count are likely constraints. We would always confirm what the property will accept, and on which dates, before presenting it to a client.

Rooms & Suites at Samode Haveli Jaipur
Samode lists 50 rooms across three sections of the Haveli:
- Deluxe Rooms – spacious rooms with period furnishings and marble bathrooms
- Deluxe Suites – larger, with period or four-poster beds and writing desks
- Haveli Suites– the biggest rooms, in a converted building beyond the back lawn
- Sheesh Mahal Suites (2) – the top category, with original fresco work and mirror work
Rooms are individually decorated, with standalone tubs, minibars and modern comforts, and some have private courtyards or balconies. For a wedding, 50 rooms suits a family-and-close-friends group, and anything larger would require extra rooms elsewhere in the city.

Here are some of the most common ones our couples ask before beginning their journey with The Event Designer.

You Asked, We Answered
It is possible to enquire, but Samode does not market the Haveli as a wedding venue, so acceptance, dates and format must be confirmed with the hotel. It is best suited to intimate functions and small guest lists. For a larger wedding, Samode's other properties are the more usual choice.
The property does not publish an event capacity. A WeddingWire listing gives 50–500 guests, but that is unverified and likely generic, so treat it as unconfirmed. The hotel has 50 rooms, which sets a practical limit on staying guests.
Samode does not publish wedding pricing for the Haveli. Costs would depend on whether you book out part or all of the property, guest numbers and functions. The Event Designer can request a quote for your dates.
About 17 km from Jaipur International Airport and 6 km from the railway station, according to the hotel's brochure. Other sources give about 10 km or roughly half an hour, so allow extra time for old-city traffic. Note that the hotel may not run airport transfers on its own.
October to March, when Jaipur is cooler and courtyard and pool-side functions are most comfortable. These are also the busiest months for the hotel's regular guests, so dates can be limited. Summer afternoons are very hot for outdoor events.
This is not stated on Samode's pages. The hotel runs its own restaurant, but its policy for event catering, décor and outside vendors is unpublished, so confirm before committing.
Generally no. The walled-city location, courtyard-based layout and 50-room inventory favour intimate events. Large processions, vehicles and sound-heavy functions are likely to be constrained, which we would confirm with the hotel.
