Founded by Sahil Sachdeva and Nishita Aggarwal, The Event Designer is a luxury wedding planning and event design atelier creating bespoke celebrations across India and international destinations. For more than 13 years, our work has brought together thoughtful planning, creative direction, hospitality, production and execution for families, luxury brands, hospitality groups and leading names in fashion and entertainment. Our experience extends beyond weddings. The Event Designer was founded by Sahil Sachdeva and Nishita Aggarwal, and every wedding we plan still passes through both of them.
A destination wedding asks two different questions at once. The first is practical: which destination and venue suit the family, what the hotel will agree to, how guests will travel, and whether the budget and schedule will hold. The second is creative: how each function should look and feel, what makes the celebration personal, and what guests will remember long after they leave.
Sahil leads the first. He evaluates destinations and venues, negotiates with hotels and suppliers, structures the budget and oversees logistics and delivery on the ground. Nishita leads the second. Trained at NIFT, she directs the design, décor and styling of every function and shapes the guest experience from arrival to farewell.
They plan side by side rather than in sequence, so creative ideas are tested against what is possible early, and practical decisions are made with the experience in mind. For families, that means one team, one plan and one standard from the first conversation to the final event.
Maestro of Bespoke Wedding Planning and Event Orchestration
Sahil Sachdeva co-founded The Event Designer and leads the planning, commercial and operational side of every wedding. He is usually the first detailed conversation a family has with us, helping them weigh destinations and venues against guest numbers, travel and budget. He negotiates with hotels and suppliers, structures the budget, and oversees logistics, production and the on-site team. His aim is simple: what is agreed in planning is what happens on the day.

Nishita Aggarwal co-founded The Event Designer and leads the creative direction of every celebration. Trained at NIFT, she brings a designer’s eye to décor, styling and the guest experience. Her process starts with the family: their ceremonies, heritage and how they want guests to feel. She then shapes each function, from floral design and lighting to the personal details that make a wedding unmistakably theirs.
